How to play Darts
- Choose a game
Pick 501 or 301 and how you want to play: against the computer, two players on one device, or a private match with a friend using an invite code.
- Aim and throw
Press and hold on the board. Your hand settles, holds steady for a moment, then tires. Release during the steady moment for a tight group.
- Score down to zero
Each turn is three darts. Subtract what you score and finish exactly on zero with a double or the bull. Going under, leaving 1, or finishing without a double is a bust.
Tips to improve
- Watch the sight, not a clock. The steady window moves on every throw.
- Treble 19 is a safer target than treble 20 when your group is wide: its neighbours score more.
- Plan your finish two darts ahead. Leave an even number such as 32 (double 16) or 40 (double 20).
- Switch to Pro aim to remove the steadiness color, target label and checkout hints once you are consistent.
Questions
Can I earn money playing Darts?
Yes, as a free DayDimes member. Darts has 6 one-time goals worth 110 Tickets in all, up to 40 for “Hit a 180”, and every minute you play counts toward daily game quests worth up to 60 Tickets a day. Swap your Tickets for PayPal Cash or gift cards in your account.
Is DayDimes Darts free?
Yes. Practice, same-device play and private matches are free, and no Tickets are ever spent. Members also earn Tickets from daily game quests.
Can I play darts with a friend online?
Yes. Sign in, create a private match and share the eight-character invite code or link. The DayDimes server records every throw, so both players see the same game.
Why did my dart not land exactly where I aimed?
Every dart scatters a little, like a real throw. A steady hand keeps the scatter small; releasing while the sight is moving spreads it. Darts can also glance off darts already in the board.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On touch screens the sight sits just above your finger so you can see where you are aiming.
About DayDimes Darts
DayDimes Darts is a free browser darts game built around the real 501 and 301 formats. Every throw has honest scatter, your hand wobbles differently each time, and the finishing double tests your nerve, so the game is quick to learn and hard to master.
