How to play Tennis
- Pick a player and a court
Choose from the Dime League cast, from speedy Dot to Big Mo and his 220 km/h serve, then pick a park hard court, red clay, grass or a night rooftop.
- Serve
Toss, then hit near the top of the toss for your fastest, most accurate serve. Aim wide, at the body or down the T.
- Rally and win points
Drive, slice, lob or drop. Press early for more power, aim with the arrows or a swipe, and fill your special meter for a signature shot.
Tips to improve
- Take your time on serve: hitting at the very top of the toss is worth more than raw power.
- Crosscourt is the safe shot. Go down the line when your opponent is out of position.
- Use slice on grass: it stays low and skids through.
- A drop shot works best when your opponent is deep behind the baseline.
- Against a player at the net, pass them low or lob over their head.
Questions
Can I earn money playing Tennis?
Yes, as a free DayDimes member: every minute of Tennis counts toward daily game quests worth up to 60 Tickets a day, and you swap Tickets for PayPal Cash or gift cards in your account. One-time Tennis goals are on the way.
Is DayDimes Tennis free?
Yes. Quick matches, the Tour and two-player games are free in your browser, and no Tickets are ever spent. Members also earn Tickets from daily game quests.
How realistic is the ball?
The ball flies with air drag and Magnus lift from its spin, and bounces with friction that depends on the surface. Topspin dips, slice floats and skids, and clay, grass and hard courts all play differently.
Can I play tennis with a friend?
Yes. Two players can play on one keyboard, with two gamepads, or on a tablet by swiping on their own half of the screen.
What is the Tour?
Six matches against the Dime League across every court, ending with Sterling Vance, the Champ, in Dime Stadium. Winning the Tour unlocks a new player and the stadium court.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Auto-run moves your player into position; swipe up to drive, swipe down to slice and tap to lob.
About DayDimes Tennis
Dime League Tennis is a full tennis game that runs in your browser. Every shot flies through real air drag and spin, so topspin dips and kicks, slice skids low and a heavy backspin drop shot can check back toward the net. Clay plays slow and high, grass fast and low. Real scoring with deuce, advantage and tiebreaks, Hawk-Eye on close calls, an umpire who calls the score, and a cast of eleven characters from the Dime League, each with a signature special shot.
