How to play Jewel Blitz
- Swap
Swap two neighbouring gems to make a line of three or more of the same color. Click one gem then another, or drag a gem in a direction.
- Make special gems
Four in a row makes a Flame gem, an L or T shape makes a Star gem and five in a row makes a Hypercube. Match or swap them to set them off.
- Beat the clock
You have one minute. Quick matches fill the Blazing Speed meter. When time runs out, every special gem left on the board goes off in the Last Hurrah.
Tips to improve
- Look for matches near the bottom of the board. The gems falling in from above can set off free cascades.
- Swap a Hypercube with the most common color on the board for a huge clear.
- Multiplier gems appear after you make special gems. Match them early so every later point counts more.
- Keep a few special gems for the end to cash in during the Last Hurrah.
- Stuck? Press H or the hint button and the game shows a move.

How long is a game?
Blitz lasts 60 seconds, or 65 with the +5 Seconds boost. Classic has no clock and ends when no moves are left.
What are boosts and coins?
Every game earns coins. Spend them before a Blitz game on boosts such as extra time, a starting multiplier, Flame gems or a Hypercube on the board.
What happens when there are no moves?
In Blitz the board shuffles automatically. In Classic the game ends, so plan your moves.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Tap a gem then its neighbour, or swipe a gem in the direction you want to move it.
